These terms apply when you create an account on chronicler.pro and use the community, including posting, commenting, uploading images and liking posts. They're an agreement between you and Michael Kirkland, the developer of Chronicler ("we", "us"). The Chronicler app itself is covered by the EULA instead, and how we handle your data is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Your account
- You must be at least 14 years old to create an account.
- Use an email address that works, and keep your password safe. You're responsible for what's done with your account.
- Don't impersonate anyone, including with your username or display name.
- You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings.
Your content
You keep all rights to what you post. By posting, you give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy and display your content on chronicler.pro, and to make technical changes such as resizing images, so that we can run the community. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we need to keep something for legal reasons.
Only post work that's yours, or that you have permission to share, and credit other people's work where needed.
Community rules
Chronicler's community is for sharing worlds, templates and guides. Dark themes are fine in fiction. Don't post:
- anything illegal, or anything that infringes someone else's copyright or other rights
- harassment, threats, or hate directed at people for who they are
- sexually explicit material, or any sexual content involving minors
- other people's private information
- spam, scams, malware, or advertising unrelated to Chronicler
Moderation
Moderators review new posts before they're published. They may approve a post, ask for changes or reject it, and they'll tell you why.
If content or an account breaks these terms or the law, we may remove the content, or restrict the account with a temporary mute, a suspension or a permanent ban. We'll tell you what we did and why, unless the law prevents it. If you disagree with a decision, email michael@chronicler.pro and we'll look at it again.
Reporting content
If you see something illegal or against these rules, email michael@chronicler.pro with:
- a link to the content
- why you think it's illegal or breaks the rules
- your name and email address (not needed for reports of child sexual abuse material)
We'll review reports promptly and tell you what we decided. Public authorities can contact us at the same address, in English or Spanish.
The service
The community is free and is provided as it is. We may change or remove features, or close the community, and will give reasonable notice where we can. We aren't responsible for content posted by other members. Nothing in these terms limits liability or rights that can't be limited by law, including your rights as a consumer.
Ending your use
You can stop using the community at any time by deleting your account. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell account holders before it takes effect. If you keep using the community after that, you're accepting the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you're a consumer, you keep the protection of the laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim there.
